What “provably fair” means
MetaWin’s official guide says its Originals use server seeds, client seeds and a nonce, with SHA-256 commitments that let players verify a result after seed rotation. The important benefit is auditability: a player can test whether the disclosed inputs reproduce the recorded outcome.
What it does not mean
Provably fair does not remove the house edge, improve your odds or prove that every aspect of an operator is risk-free. It verifies a specific game-result process. Third-party slots use their own RNG and testing model rather than MetaWin’s Originals verifier.
Verification workflow
- Record the pre-bet server-seed hash.
- Know the client seed and nonce used for the round.
- Rotate or reveal the server seed after play.
- Recompute the hash/outcome with the verifier.
- Compare the reconstructed result with the recorded round.
When this matters
Verification is most useful for players who value cryptographic transparency and want to audit individual rounds. It should support informed play, not encourage larger stakes.
